School Uniform Policy

The wearing of school uniform is an integral part of school life at Orsett Heath Academy and promotes a sense of belonging, supports high standards, and ensures students present themselves in a professional manner. All students are expected to wear full school uniform both in school and when travelling to and from school. Parents/Carers are expected to support the school in ensuring students arrive in full and correct uniform each day.

The school has two uniform suppliers. They are:

All items specific to the Orsett Heath Academy uniform are available from the school’s designated suppliers: Uniformwise and Snappy Schoolwear. These include the school blazer, school tie, P.E. top and P.E. shorts. These items must be purchased from approved suppliers. If choosing to wear a skirt, the Orsett Heath Academy approved skirt, from Uniformwise, must also be purchased from designated suppliers.

School Equipment

Please ensure that your child is fully equipped for each day at school. Students arriving without basic writing equipment or the necessary resources for a lesson cause delay and this disadvantages the student concerned, hindering them in making progress in their learning. 

All students are expected to provide the following essential equipment for their work in school: 

• Pens with black ink only 

• A 30cm ruler 

• A rubber 

• Pencil and pencil sharpener 

• Protractor 

• Compass

• Scientific calculator 

• PE kit, brought in on the appropriate day and taken home again 

Students will also be required to have a sketchbook for Art. These can be bought from the Art Department via WisePay.
