Radicalisation and Extremism

Orsett Heath Academy believes and actively supports the view that all pupils should be protected from radicalisation and extremism. The school’s Prevent Duty Lead is Mr L Taylor, the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

The Prevent duty lead has two specific strategic objectives when safeguarding our pupils against radicalisation, extremism and any actions or beliefs that are contrary to British values and our school ethos:

How to report radicalisation and extremism?

  • The OHA Lead is Mr L Taylor.
  • You can call the Police by calling 101.
  • You can also call the national police Prevent advice line 0800 011 3764, in confidence, to share your concerns with specially trained officers.
  • If it’s an emergency, please call 999
  • If you see online material promoting terrorism or extremism, you can report it online
